Emma Snape, Program and Development Associate

SF Role:

As Program and Development Associate, Emma spends multiple afternoons a week in Story Forum classrooms delivering programming to students. Additionally, she works closely with the Executive and Program Director to develop future programming, writes grants and takes on other development duties, and assists with administrative work.

Why SF:

Emma believes in the transformative power of stories to help us understand ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

Current/Past Experiences:

Prior to beginning work with Story Forum, Emma lived and worked full time in Los Angeles, California, working as the Unit Production Manager for S4 Studios, a film production studio, from 2017 through 2019. Most recently, Emma worked as a science and art instructor for Galileo Learning in California, before returning to Cleveland and beginning work with Story Forum in Fall 2019.

Education:

Emma attended Oberlin College, where she graduatedin 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion, Cinema Studies, and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies. After a few years of work experience, she plans to return to school for a Masters degree in the field of Non-Profit Administration in 2020. She is an alum of the Shaker Heights Public Schools system, which she attended K-12.
