About
Why do stories matter?
We express the essence of our lives through stories. They are a tool for connecting with our identity and our relationships.
Sharing stories – our own and those of others – offer a powerful way to learn about perspective and to develop empathy through a creative process.
How do our programs help to build social and emotional resilience?
Through literacy and arts rich programming using their own story narratives as the driving force, youth explore relationships, and develop and practice problem solving skills. Resiliency is strengthened by having a sense of agency and purpose; it is supported by hope for the future, and meaningful connections with others.
